Our senior stock ram, Auldhouseburn Expression took the reserve championship honours at The Royal Three Counties Show this year for the southern feature show under judge Ryan Bradley.
Expression was purchased in Lanark for 100,000gns and is by the 350,000gns Sportsmans Double Diamond out of a dam by the 125,000gns Rhaeadr Best of the Best. He has since gone on to breed exceedingly well in the Clanfield flock with our prize winning lambs being out of Expression daughters.
We kicked off the day’s judging by winning the group of three lamb class with progeny by the 160,000gns Rhaeadr First Choice, all out of Expression daughters.
We then stood first and second in the ram lamb class, leading the way with THE2301438 and taking second with THE2301455, this one being by Best of the Best but out of a Knapp ewe by Sportsmans Cannon Ball.
In the ewe lamb class we were top and second again, with the red rosette going to THE2301388 a full sister to our ram lamb winner, while a full sister stood second.
